Halestorm – “It’s Not You”

We at Fresh Scouts love hot ladies who know how to rock out (See: Paramore), and Halestorm is definitely of that mold. “I Get Off” is the song that put this group into our wheelhouse last year, but the new single provides no less energy than the first one.

Band of Skulls – “Death by Diamonds and Pearls”

Anybody who follows the site knows I have a thing for Jack White and all of his projects, and while Band of Skulls isn’t one of them they certainly are doing the same brand of music. This isn’t a “tidy” song by any stretch of the imagination, but it does rock, straying plenty far enough away from typical pop alternative to be considered unique.

Patric McFly – “Teenage Dirthouse”

Okay, so I probably could’ve just listed “Teenage Dirtbag” by Wheatus if I really wanted to educate you guys on some good stuff, but I’ve got to say that Patric McFly’s remix of the self-loathing ‘90s sleeper hit is creative and entertaining enough to warrant its own recognition. Plus, it’s more modern and whatever.
