3 Songs You Should Be Listening To (2-1-10)

Laura Veirs – “July Flame”

This is a hauntingly beautiful song.  Laura Veirs, an Oregon based singer-songwriter, delivers a track that seems to float in the upper atmosphere.  The vocals are pure and the instrumentation pulses.  Take this track for a spin if you are feeling the need to chill and think deep thoughts.

Angel Taylor – “Like You Do”

2010 is looking mighty good for Ms. Angel Taylor.  A recent crowning as VH1′s You Outta Know: Artists On The Rise sets the stage nicely for some big commercial exposure for this singer-songwriter out of Los Angeles.  “Like You Do” is a light and playful track that will be a great addition to your upcoming Valentine’s Day playlist.

Motion City Soundtrack – “Her Words Destroyed My Planet”

It is hard for me to believe that My Dinosaur Life is the fourth studio album from Motion City Soundtrack.  Where does the time go?  There are a few certainties in the world.  I love dinosaurs and these guys rock.  It was inevitable that I would love their quirky and rocky “Her Words Destroyed My Planet”.  You will love it too, especially if you love the mighty Tyrannosaurus rex.
