The Script

If there’s one thing I love more than anything else that comes from Ireland, it’s Lucky Charms.  If there’s another thing I love more than anything else that comes from Ireland, it’s The Script.  But only because I knew about Lucky Charms first, and The Script doesn’t have marshmallows (that I know of.)  This trio from across the sea-o first came on the scene with their self-titled album not even a year ago.  Since then, their music careers have gone from 0 to 1,000 almost overnight and they aren’t showing signs of stopping.  Not even to eat or shower.  I know, that’s pretty extreme.

Their first single “We Cry” mixes a haunting melodic tone with a sort of poetry-in-motion sprinkled throughout.  It’s a very catchy song with a chorus that you find yourself accidentally humming at the grocery store while you wait in line and make awkward eye contact with the cashier who is super cute, but you’re not really sure if she’s single because, after all, how could a girl like that be single and now you’re kind of embarrassed that you went for the “Dora the Explorer” fruit snacks even though you’re fairly certain they were hand-crafted by Dora herself because of how delicious they are?  You know what I’m talking about.

And although I quickly became attached to that song, my love would soon grow for their second single “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”  And I’m sure if you’re a girl, you’re love has probably grown for the lead singer.  As you can tell by the picture, he means business.  And by business I mean I couldn’t find a picture of the band where the lead singer wasn’t looking mysterious and lovingly at the camera.  Seriously, Google The Script.  All Tiger Beat snapshots.

But don’t judge them for their boyish good looks and Irish mystery.  Their self-titled album is definitely one to pick up with a guarantee of non-disappointment (is that a word?)
